Aromatherapy Essential Oil Reviews
Radha Beauty Aromatherapy Top 8 Essential Oils 100% Pure & Therapeutic
I like these little box sets. I think they are great for some one just getting starting with using essential oils or some one who just likes to stock up. Like me. Some of these you may be familiar with, some you may not but will learn to enjoy. I won’t go into what each oil is good for because Radha Beauty includes a nice little sheet with lots of information on each. What I do want to talk about is the quality of each.
The only true way of testing an essential oil is in a lab. But there are some things you can do at home to get an idea of the quality. Since these tests aren’t fool proof or 100% accurate, I always take the results with a grain of salt. The first thing I always do is the “paper test.” If you’re not familiar with the paper test; you want to put a drop of the essential oil on a white index card. It’s said “pure, undiluted, therapeutic” essential oils will completely evaporate over night, leaving no oil ring behind. But again, there are exceptions. Since the paper test only tells part of the story, you want to check some other things as well. For example, if you put a drop of the essential oil between your fingers, it shouldn’t “feel” greasy. It should feel the opposite of what a carrier oil, like Jojoba oil for example, feels like. You also want to get familiar with the smell. A good essential oil shouldn’t smell “rancid” or have a strong smell of alcohol. Keep in mind though, everyone has a different interpretation of what smells good and what doesn’t. Just because you don’t like a smell doesn’t mean the product is bad. When smelling essential oils you shouldn’t be overwhelmed and it shouldn’t make you feel sick or fell like you are getting a headache.
* Peppermint – As you can see from the picture, this passed the paper test without any problems. It also passed the feel test for me. And the smell test passed too. It had the signature minty and camphor smell you’d expect from peppermint. I’m confident this is a good quality Peppermint essential oil.
* Lemongrass – For the most part, it did pass the paper test. There is a faint circle left behind if you look closely. But like I mentioned, the paper test doesnt work for all essential oils. If there is a color associated with the essential oil, it will leave that residue. For example; lemongrass has an amber tone. Lemongrass can also take longer to evaporate because it contains high levels of esters and aldehydes. This bottle passed both the feel and smell test for me. It has a nice sweet lemon smell. It reminds me of the lemon candies they used to make. It’s more sweet than sour.
* Eucalyptus – Eucalyptus clearly passed the paper test without issue. It had no problem when it came to the feel and smell test either. It has it’s signature very strong camphor aroma.
* Lavender – One of the most commonly used essential oils. It passed all tests for me. I love lavender. It has the calming scent and if you inhale deeply you can almost smell a hint of lemon.
* Tea Tree – Passed all test. Tea Tree can take some getting used to. It has a strong smell at first. Some describe it as medicinal. It can also have a piney cool smell.
* Orange – If you look closely you’ll see a faint residue left behind. This is normal for a citrus oil. They tend to fail the paper test because of the way they are extracted. Feel and smell test passed easily. The orange has a sweet citrus-y smell with a splash of tang.
So overall this starter kit contains good quality oils. Perfect for a beginner and great to have on hand for anyone looking to reap the benefits of essential oils.

ArtNaturals Aromatherapy Top 8 Essential Oils
TLDR: These are strong, stable, well sealed, well packaged, and effective oils. The eucalyptus and peppermint have all but cured one of my relative’s migraines, and the tea tree oil saved my relationship with my roommate when I accidentally left wet clothes in the washer for a week. (It was smelling good as new by the time I was done)
Now for the details….if you’re willing to read them (Highly recommended)
ARE THESE OILS FAKE?
First of all, define “fake?” There are several posts on here talking about how these oils were proven to be a scam. One of the methods that they use to define purity is Gas Chromatography. I used this when studying organic chemistry, and basically, you run the oil through a machine, and it gives you a graph with “blips” where certain chemicals react. I have attached one of these graphs so that you can see an example. It’s the graph of the Basil’s essential oil. (Also, everything is a chemical, so please don’t say “I want my essential oils free of chemicals.) If a substance is “pure,” you should expect “blips” at a very specific pattern in the graph with NO deviations, but apparently, with these oils, there are “blips” where there shouldn’t be.
That being said, these are authentic essential oils, but in order to distill them to be 100% pure, it takes time, patience, and frankly, luck to keep them from decomposing into a chemical you don’t want (which means extra “blips” on the graph). Trust me, I’ve distilled orange oil and clove oil in ochem lab (never again….please God)
So you may notice you’re not paying a premium. This is because these oils were not painstakingly distilled to 100% purity. It costs exponentially more for just a little more purity, so that’s why these are so cheap. They could be 97% pure, but it takes tons more time and money to get them to 100%, so why not just enjoy them? I’ve been using them for months for aromatherapy, and have experienced nothing but healing. Obviously if you’re going to be consuming them, you should go for something more expensive. But these are PERFECT for aromatherapy, and you shouldn’t pay a premium if you’re just using them for bath bombs and homemade cleaner.
I hope this helped you guys. I love these oils, and if they’re good enough for me, they are good enough for you!
Artizen Aromatherapy Top 14 Essential Oil Set
Wonderful selection of oils. Bottles are enough to sample the product and choose favorites. The plastic safety seal around cap kept oils from opening while shipping. Fragrances are the most popular and are easy to add to my cold mist diffuser since there’s a plastic insert in the bottle which only allows drops to come and not pour out too fast. I will purchase oils from Artizen again. I am very pleased with the set.
I am new to aromatherapy, but I have been learning and trying new mixes. All the oils smell just like they should and they came neatly packaged and all sealed right. I was excited and made a mix to go in the diffuser right away. The little one has a cold and even though, I am not congested, my sinuses felt extremely clear so I am hoping this helps her to sleep better tonight. Can’t wait to try them all!
Package and oils arrived as described! I’ve diffused several of the oils; scents are not as strong as I had hoped, but still nice enough. I just add a few extra drops to my diffuser.
Lagunamoon Essential Oils Gift Set
LOVE Lagunamoon Essential Oil! I purchased the Essential Oils Gift Set,Top 6 Aromatherapy Oils Orange Lavender Tea Tree Peppermint Eucalyptus Lemongrass by Lagunamoon because I have purchased oils from this company many times and always been very pleased. They are quality oils and smell amazing. They also come in a great gift box if you would like to gift them to someone. I trust this brand and will continue to order from them.
The set contains 6 oils: tea tree, eucalyptus, lavender, orange, peppermint, and lemongrass. I had never used essential oils before, but I bought the set to use with my humidifier/diffuser. They smell so nice and make me feel relaxed – especially the peppermint and orange. After reading more about essential oils, I started using the tea tree oil and lavender on my face (mixed with Aveeno moisturizer). It’s amazing how smooth and clear my skin has gotten after just two weeks. The only oil that I found distasteful was lemongrass. The scent is very strong. Overall I am pleasantly surprised by how much I am enjoying these oils.
Natrogix Bliss Essential Oils – Top 9 Therapeutic Grade 100% Pure Essential Oil Set
I got this 9 essential oil set yesterday, can’t say how much I love this product. I am essential oil lover and I have been using essential oil for a year, I like to use essential oil to DIY my body lotion, body massage oil, room fresher and diffuser. I couldn’t leave without essential oil. I have tried lots of brands from very expensive ones to very cheap ones. You can tell the quality difference between expensive ones and cheap ones. But I can’t always afford expensive oils. However, the quality of this 9 set has similar quality to those expensive brands, but offer a much more affordable price. Most important, these oils are GC/MS certified, which guarantee the purest of essential oils. I did paper test too (see attached pic) and it passed very quickly.
Moreover, the package is extraordinarily beyond my expectation. Very lovely and beautiful using recyclable materials. They even put a small quick guide book inside. I will buy one more as gift for my friend’s birthday next month.
I made a bug spray yesterday, I went to hiking this morning and it really worked. Just mix 40 drops of lavender, rosemary, lemongrass and eucalyptus of 4oz spearmint hydrosol.
Best Blends Set of 28 – 100% Pure, Best Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil
I selected this Best Blends Set of 6 100% Pure, Best Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil – 6/10mL (Aromatherapy Kit – I paid $18.99) to use with my new Apriller 300ml Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser & Cool Mist Humidifier with LED Night Light. In my opinion, they work very well together.
I have only opened 3 of the six bottles so far: Breathe, Muscle Relief, and Stress Relief. I like them all and have already used each in my diffuser. These are the first aroma therapy blends I have ever purchased, so have nothing to compare them with. After reading previous reviews on this product, however, I would like to say the following:
In my opinion, they will be more than adequate and effective for use in a aromatherapy diffuser, cool mist humidifier. I feel they work very well and a reasonable time after plunging in my unit, can enjoy the calming aroma which begins to fill the room quite nicely (an open concept modest -sized combo living room/dining/kitchen in an apartment.
Some reviewers stated that they had to add 10 to 20 or more drops in order to smell the aroma. That is not my experience; adding 3, 4, or up to 5 drops is adequate. Another reviewer stated that after running her unit with one of the blends added to her water reservoir, she developed a bad headache and had to turn the unit off. THAT WAS BECAUSE SHE ADDED TOO MUCH OF THE ESSENTIAL OIL BLEND IN THE UNIT’S RESERVOIR. I know, because the same thing happend to me, after thinking “a little works good … perhaps more will work even better. Not so! Too much is overkill, and can give you a headache or cause your eyes to sting – depending upon which blend you use. Does this mean that Healing Solutions oil blends are substandard, not pure, or at fault? No! It means that too much oil has been added. Empty out your diffuser reservoir according to the unit’s instructions; rinse it out, wipe it, and then refill it with water and add fewer drops of the oil (3, 4, or 5 drops).
To me, the price was reasonable, and the quality of the product good and fragrance of the blends very pleasing. Would I purchase this product again? You bet! So, why did I give the Healing Solutions Best Blends Set 4 stars as opposed to 5? Although it was neatly and attractively packaged and came swathed in bubble wrap; although the perforated safety seal/rims (at the base of the caps) were all still intact (meaning the bottles were unopened) – some of the caps were nevertheless not screwed on completely tight (from the assembly line during manufacturing/filling of the bottles). Although I did not feel wetness or see signs of leaking – one bottle was not as completely filled as the others were, and the scent of the oil blend was very noticeable – very strong! – even before I lifted the cover of the box to view the bottles. I can understand why some consumers commented that there was leakage from the bottles. I felt fortunate that mine were not ruined and tightened the cap of each bottle straight away.
Pleasing scent combinations
Adequately and attractively packaged
Works well with my small sized aroma therapy diffuser
All the bottle caps were not screwed on tightly; the scent of the oils was very strong after removing the layers of bubble wrap, even before opening the box lid. Product leakage is a risk.
Just the recommended 2 or 3 drops might not be enough for most users; I use between 3 and 5 (BUT in the upwards of 10 or more drops some commenters say they use is overkill and can cause headache or stinging eyes, depending upon the blend being used. However, this would be an issue with any name brand of essential oils, not just Healing Solutions.
